“Getting my son to school was a challenge for everyone concerned but now- WOW! He is happy, productive, considerate . . . and his personality is back. Thank you. Whatever you are doing there is working.”
- Stevenson Parent

“Everyone who works at Stevenson seems primed to look for different ways to make each child succeed. They are employing every tool at their disposal in a laid back, low key way that belies how razor sharp they are. They get my kid. They know his weaknesses, but they highlight and celebrate his strengths.”

“What is the fairy dust blowing through the heating system at Stevenson? From the moment we walked in the door we knew we were in a different place. Now, half-way through my son’s first year I’m just beginning to realize how different and special it is.”
- M.F., Stevenson Parent

“The school is a perfect fit for kids who are out-of-place elsewhere. The teachers and other staff take the time to really know each student's strengths and weaknesses, and as a result, build a daily experience that caters to those strengths while supporting the weaknesses. The kids have daily Advising groups, and weekly all-school meetings, so any concerns or issues that a student may have get a chance to be heard and addressed. They also put emphasis on each student's personal responsibility for their work and habits, helping the students to mature.”

“My son came to Robert Louis Stevenson School after spending his 9th and 10th years of High School doing virtually nothing. His attendance record was terrible and his academic achievement worse. Now, because of Stevenson, he has learned how to be a student again. The amount of oversight and guidance provided by the excellent Advisory program and the small class size has been instrumental in my son's progress. Now my son is actually thinking about his future and our whole family is benefiting.”

“Students get in depth personal interaction with teachers and staff since the school is very small and the ratio of teachers to students is low. The supportive staff places great emphasis on the growth and progress of each student, both academically and emotionally. Each student is valued, and their own unique talents developed and encouraged. My son has flourished while at the Robert Louis Stevenson School.”
