Multimedia Learning and Conference Center
Stevenson’s leadership has understood the necessity of bringing the school’s physical space up to 21st century standards since the building was acquired in 2007. The school engaged Ashbahian Design, LLC to develop a concept and Master Plan for transforming the physical environment. A careful study of the School’s needs produced a long-term plan for development that maximizes the use of the building space while enhancing its functionality and beauty. The guiding idea of the Master Plan was bringing under-utilized space into productive use, strengthening the program with classrooms that are optimized for size and function, exemplifying the school’s culture and purpose, and fostering a sense of community.
The first phase of the plan calls for transforming the library into a state-of-the-art multimedia learning and conference center. This modernization, in terms of design, construction and equipment will serve and support the academic program and meet the needs of students, both now and in the future. In addition to increasing functionality, the lovely existing architectural qualities of the room will be enhanced.
