2019 – 2020 School Year Underway
The 2019-20 Robert Louis Stevenson school year is off to a jam-packed start. To kick things off, there were two orientation days, one for new students on Tuesday, September 3rd, and one for returning students on Wednesday, September 4th. The first days of school that followed blended the returning students with their new peers for the first time, creating the unique atmosphere that will be fostered at Stevenson as the year goes on.
There are two major milestone evenings for parents in September, as well. On the 17th, there is a meeting for new parents. On the 24th, parents will meet with teachers for Curriculum Night and run through an abbreviated sample school day schedule. Finally, on the 26th of September, the RLS student body will participate in Field Day at a campsite in northern New Jersey. The day is especially meaningful for the seniors, all of whom will face a challenging ropes course. All in all, the month of September is an eventful one for the Stevenson community, and the year is off to a great start!
