Early Civilizations Field Trip to AMNH

Students enrolled in the Early Civilizations history course took a field trip to the American Museum of Natural History. As the culmination of their study of early humans, they visited The Anne and Bernard Spitzer Hall of Human Origins. Their classroom studies came to life as they examined fossils, DNA models, and historical artifacts up close. Students reported that the highlight of the trip was getting the opportunity to meet Lucy, one of the most complete skeletons found to date from the early hominids that lived between 2 and 4 million years ago.
