Media Literacy Workshop

In April, Stevenson staff Kelsey Darity, Nick McKelvie and Kim Rozanski hosted a media literacy workshop for our students in grades 7-9. In this workshop, led by Drs. Yoo Kyung Chang and Ioana Literat, professors at Teachers College, Columbia University, students were invited to test and develop a media literacy game, Lamboozled. They had the opportunity to learn about media literacy by playing the game, and then were asked to discuss their experience doing so in a way that will allow Drs. Chang and Literat to refine the game.
